Greetings from all of us here at Serenity Now.
I (Brooke) want to thank you for the brightness you bring to our lives.
With all the insanity going on in our world right now I find myself soaking up any words of encouragement or rays of hope like a sponge.
The other day I heard a story about an ordinary young man who worked at a warehouse and lived in a very modest housing. As a matter of fact he had a good size hole on the wall of his apartment. Not knowing what else to do with it, he found a painting at the thrift store to cover it. The art work depicted magnolias on a golden cloth.
Sometime later he was playing a board game with some friends called Masterpiece that gave clues about art. During the game he found a clue about a very similar painting by a famous artist, Martin Johnson Heade, which was worth a fortune. Knowing that he had absolutely nothing to lose he called a local museum. Lo and behold his painting was authenticated to be an unknown piece by that very same artist and was worth a lot of money. One million two hundred fifty thousand dollars to be exact.
To me this was the Universe doing the win-win that is so beautifully demonstrated. The world of art was given a treasure that no one even knew about and the young man got some serious cash in his pocket.
The very next day I came to work and one of our staff angels told me that she has watched a series on Netflix that was called Sweet Magnolias that she found very entertaining. That very afternoon Tess and I were walking to Sweet Caroline’s Bakery to pick up some veggie sandwiches for lunch when we noticed that there is a magnolia tree right smack dab in front of the store. As a matter of fact the whole shopping center is lined with magnolia trees.
When I looked up the meaning of the flower, I found that according to one source they represent joy, health, luck and good fortune. If there ever was a time that I could use a sign of health and good fortune, this is it.
I gave the Universe a shout of gratitude for the bread crumbs that led me to a message of hope and wanted to share it with you.
