Greetings from all of us here at Serenity Now.

I Brooke want to thank you for your open mind and open heart, because truly, we couldn’t do what we do without that.

The other day I had a conversation with one of our beautiful customers. She shared that her daughter (being a single mom) had told her psychologist about feeling overwhelmed, and even having thoughts of suicide. The therapist had to report the incident and take certain measures according to law. Now several family members, only wanting to be helpful were involved and were trying to figure out the best course of action for the daughter and also the little grandchild. One camp strongly felt that the precious little one should be taken away from her mother for her own good.

What came to me was that this young lady did not want to end her life. It was an awkward way of asking for someone to hear, help and love her. After I got home I could not get the conversation out of my head and had the presence of mind to ask the Universe, God or Higher Power to reveal the truth of the situation.

Then I went about my day as usual.  I had auto play on my iPod when I heard a familiar song and felt drawn to see what it was. What I found was a lyric video. The words that were flashing were: “Let Me Love You”. Whenever I hear the word ‘let’, I immediately think of: “Let there be Light.” So this word in my mind is associated with God. It was almost like the Universe was singing the words to me and the young lady involved. Another sentence flashed across the screen: “smoke and mirrors keep us waiting on a miracle”. My translation was the illusion and lies that we have believed, keep us from experiencing God’s miracles.. Then I saw the words: “All that we need is the rude awakening that we’re good enough.” This reminded me of lesson 47 in A Course in Miracles:

Now try to slip past all concerns related to your own sense of inadequacy. It is obvious that any situation that causes you concern is associated with feelings of inadequacy, for otherwise you would believe that you could deal with the situation successfully. It is not by trusting yourself that you will gain confidence. But the strength of God in you is successful in all things.

The family’s healing is still unfolding and I would appreciate your prayers for everyone involved.

By the way, I found out that the song is “Let Me Love You” composed by DJ Snake (if you were to tell me that DJ Snake was a real name, I would not believe you for a million dollars!) and Justin Bieber.
